PHOT'Aubrac Festival

The festival typically focuses on themes related to nature, culture, rural life, and social issues, offering visitors a unique blend of art and nature. It attracts photographers, art enthusiasts, and tourists alike, providing opportunities for workshops, discussions, and the appreciation of visual storytelling in a serene environment.

Presented in this superb stable, a wealth of the living heritage of Aubrac, are images dedicated to six Afghan photographers from different generations, three women and three men. All pursue a quest for beauty and poetry.

Present on the walls, a very big name in photography, Reza Daghati and five of his colleagues. Massoud Hossaini , the first Afghan photographer to be awarded the Pulitzer Prize, Nasser Turkmani, a photographer urgently repatriated when in his country, everything changed on August 15, 2021 with the Taliban takeover. Today, he is a refugee in France, alone and destitute. Three young women photographers:

Roshanak also a painter, her portrait photographs are superb, black and white silver images printed on baryta paper on which she delicately underlines certain elements with a few touches of paint. Her photographs give them back freedom. Finally, the audacity of beauty with Fatima Hossaini and the bitter dew of Roya Haidari.
